The newspaper Le Monde and international current affairs channel France24 visited the Urban Flood Management project, initiated and coordinated by FRG members, for reports on the new way of thinking on limiting flood risk: Living with Water. In UFM, several FRG members develop together with the City of Dordrecht and Dura Vermeer Business Development and other public and private partners the knowledge and tools required to integrate flood risk in building design and spatial planning with the aim to reduce the long-term (financial & safety) risk involved in building in flood-prone areas. The partners see the international attention as an acknowledgement of the value of their cooperation that results both in innovative technical solutions such as amphibious housing, as well as in adaptive flood management governance structures.
